Becle, the world’s largest tequila producer, reported a 15% increase in first-quarter profit, reaching 1.16 billion pesos ($56.69 million). The boost was attributed to lower input costs and exchange-rate gains from the Mexican peso’s depreciation against the U.S. dollar. Despite lower product volumes, revenues rose 7% to 9.63 billion pesos. The U.S. and Canada remain Becle’s largest markets.
