Nike has appointed Jennifer Hartley as its new chief strategy officer to drive the company’s strategic agenda. Hartley, a 14-year Nike veteran, will report directly to CFO Matt Friend and work closely with CEO Elliott Hill. She has held various roles at Nike and previously worked at McKinsey & Co.
CEO Elliott Hill discussed Nike’s “Win Now” strategy, focusing on five fields of play, three countries, and five cities. In Q3, Nike’s net income was $794 million, down 32% from the year-ago period, with diluted earnings per share at 54 cents. Despite the decrease, the company’s results beat analyst estimates.
The third-quarter results of Nike exceeded analyst expectations, with earnings per share and revenue surpassing predictions. The company’s strategic agenda, led by new chief strategy officer Jennifer Hartley, aims to drive growth despite a decrease in net income and sales compared to the prior year.
