Orior plans to nominate board member Monika Friedli-Walser as chair, as current chairman Remo Brunschwiler steps down for “personal reasons”. Acting CEO Filip De Spiegeleire will also step down from operational duties. Friedli-Walser will oversee operational management and focus on strengthening the company’s decentralized structure.
In 2024, Orior reported net sales of SFr642.1m, a slight decrease from the previous year. EBITDA reached SFr22.5m, with an EBIT loss of SFr31.9m due to various factors, including an impairment of the Albert Spiess business. The company plans to sell some Albert Spiess assets to local processor Mérat to address financial challenges.
Looking ahead, Orior anticipates a challenging 2025 with contract losses and the sale of Albert Spiess assets impacting revenue. The company aims to improve profitability and free cash flow, strengthen their decentralized structure, and enhance innovation in their core business. The focus will be on overcoming challenges and driving growth in the coming year.
