The Singapore stock market has been on a six-day winning streak, gaining almost 290 points. Optimism about a potential easing of U.S.-China trade tensions has boosted global markets, with the STI closing just below 3,800 points on Tuesday. Financial and property stocks led the gains, with the index rising 0.96 percent to 3,795.41. Wall Street also saw a strong rebound, with the Dow climbing 2.66 percent. Positive earnings reports and hopes of a trade resolution fueled the rally. Crude oil prices surged after new sanctions against Iran were announced. Singapore will release consumer price data for March.
