PayPal now offers Chainlink (LINK) and Solana (SOL) on its platform for US users to buy, sell, and transfer. Venmo users will also have access to these tokens. PayPal has 428 million accounts globally, with 83 million using Venmo in 2023. The company’s crypto services are exclusive to US residents, responding to increased demand.

PYUSD, PayPal’s stablecoin, surpassed $1 billion in market cap a year after its launch. Currently, its circulating supply is around $760 million. Despite being smaller than USDT and USDC, PYUSD’s utility was demonstrated by settling an invoice with Ernst & Young. PayPal’s stablecoin involvement has been crucial in the sector’s growth.
