Premier African Minerals (Premier) has signed a non-binding letter of interest with Glencore International for the potential sale of spodumene concentrate from its Zulu Lithium and Tantalum Project. The agreement is contingent on meeting specific production criteria within three months. The Zulu Project in Zimbabwe spans 3.5km² and is rich in lithium and tantalum prospects.
Premier recently finalized a modification to the revised Offtake and Prepayment Agreement with Canmax Technologies, focusing on delivering 48,000 tonnes of spodumene concentrate from the Zulu mine. Canmax made a prepayment of $34.6m for the construction of the processing plant at Zulu. Premier’s CEO George Roach emphasized the commitment to complete the spodumene float section.
Beaumont Cornish is the nominated adviser to Premier African Minerals for the lithium offtake agreement negotiations with Glencore International. The deal aims to facilitate the sale of spodumene concentrate from the Zulu Lithium and Tantalum Project. The focus is now on finalizing the agreement and optimizing the processing plant for production.
