Qatar Airways, British Airways’ parent IAG Group, and Malaysia Airlines plan a joint air cargo venture to expand routes and capabilities. Details on the partnership are limited, but the aim is to increase connectivity, transit times, and shipping options. Regulatory approval is pending, but the airlines hope to implement the partnership soon.

The proposed trilateral cargo partnership mirrors successful models like Delta Air Lines and Latam Cargo. Qatar Airways, IAG, and Malaysia Airlines aim to offer enhanced service, global reach, and innovative solutions to meet evolving market needs. The airlines are working on harmonized safety and security standards for customers.

As air cargo demand slows and trade disruptions loom, the partnership seeks to provide efficiency and connectivity for partners and customers. Qatar Airways Cargo operates 28 Boeing 777 freighters to over 60 destinations, while IAG Cargo oversees British Airways, Iberia, Aer Lingus, Vueling, and Level’s cargo operations.
