Richardson Electronics expands customer base by supplying pitch energy modules for wind turbines

Richardson Electronics, Ltd. announced a supply agreement with TransAlta Corporation for pitch energy modules designed for GE wind turbines and SSB platforms. The ULTRA3000 and ULTRAPEM modules will be shipped to wind farms in Canada and the United States throughout 2025. These modules are designed to replace lead acid batteries in OEM wind turbine platforms, ensuring effective operation. TransAlta praised Richardson’s technology, stating that the Ultra-caps have reduced downtime and increased revenue.
