Semler Scientific buys another $10M worth of BTC

Semler Scientific acquired its Bitcoin treasury for an average price of nearly $89,000 and plans to raise $75 million through private offerings. Public companies like Semler are joining the trend of accumulating Bitcoin treasuries, with corporate Bitcoin holdings valued at around $71 billion. Strategy remains the largest corporate Bitcoin holder, with a treasury worth over $50 billion.

Bitcoin’s surging price in 2024 has led corporate treasuries to become some of the largest institutional Bitcoin holders. As of April 25, corporate Bitcoin holdings are worth approximately $71 billion in total, with Strategy leading the way with a treasury worth over $50 billion. Exchange-traded funds still hold more Bitcoin, totaling around $110 billion.
