The stock market ended April on a positive note, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average rising 140 points and the S&P 500 climbing nearly 0.2%. The Nasdaq Composite dipped slightly, but the S&P and Dow extended their winning streak to seven days, the longest since last year.

The yield on the 2-year Treasury note fell to 3.62%, while the 10-year yield rose to 4.17%.
