Tech and consumer discretionary stocks led the gains. New home sales in March rose 7.4% to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 724,000 units. Wall Street rallied after Trump’s remarks, with Apple and NVIDIA shares gaining. Tesla CEO Elon Musk plans to cut ties with the Trump administration. The fear-gauge VIX was down 6.93%.
