Stocks rise on mixed data of consumer confidence and job openings

Stocks rallied on Tuesday with the Dow up by 231 points, the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite both gaining 0.3%. The Dow and S&P were set for a sixth consecutive day of gains, fueled by mixed reports on consumer confidence and job openings. Job openings in March fell to 7.19 million from 7.48 million in February, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
