Tesla, Inc. experienced a 82.6% drop in new vehicle registrations in China for the week ending April 6, with only 3,600 units registered. This decline compounded concerns for investors already worried about U.S. import tariffs. In comparison, Nio saw a 40% drop in registrations, while Xpeng had a 21% gain, and Li Auto slipped nearly 30%. GLJ Research noted this data, stating that Tesla had the largest week-over-week fall in Chinese auto registrations among key EV makers.
