Tesla’s registration data in key European regions dropped in March, signaling a continued slide in sales. France saw a 36.8% decrease, with only 3,157 Tesla EVs registered. Norway and Sweden also experienced declines. Overall, registrations fell by 41.1% in France, 55.3% in Sweden, and 12.5% in Norway for the first quarter. Despite the release of the updated Model Y in March, sales did not improve. CEO Elon Musk’s declining popularity due to political endorsements may be impacting sales. In China, Tesla’s shipments fell by 49%, with overall weakness in sales across multiple regions. Tesla stock fell 36% in the first quarter, its worst performance since 2022.
