A new 10% universal tariff on all imports to the USA will take effect on 5 April, with reciprocal tariffs on specific countries starting on 9 April. JPMorgan estimates these tariffs will generate around $400 billion in revenue for the USA, potentially increasing PCE by 1-1.5% in the third quarter.
