U.S. stock market loses $6.1 trillion in value in two days

The U.S. stock market has lost $6.1 trillion in market capitalization over the past two trading days, the most in a two-day span according to Dow Jones Market Data. Stocks shed $3 trillion on Friday alone. The Dow fell 1,621 points, or 4%, in Friday afternoon trading, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite dropped 4.6% and 4.7% respectively.
