Ukrainian corn may benefit from U.S. tariffs, which could lead to increased demand for Ukrainian corn as an alternative to U.S. imports. President Trump’s tariffs could prompt countermeasures, increasing opportunities for Ukraine’s competitive pricing and stable logistics in the global corn market. Analysts predict Ukraine could claim a share of the market if other countries impose restrictions on U.S. corn exports. Ukraine, a major corn grower and exporter, produced 32 million metric tons of corn in 2023 and is likely to export 22 million tons in 2024/25, with farmers expected to increase corn cultivation due to lucrative export prices. Ukraine also harvested a record 6.2 million tons of soybeans in 2024, with half likely to be exported this season. The 2025 soybean crop could range from 5.8 to 6.2 million tons depending on weather conditions in May and June.
