United Micro Electronics Corp. (UMC) reported a 25.6% decrease in first-quarter net income to NT$7.78 billion, with earnings per ordinary share at NT$0.62. However, revenue for the quarter increased by 5.9% to NT$57.86 billion compared to last year.
