Volkswagen Group of America Inc. and Uber Technologies, Inc. are teaming up to deploy thousands of all-electric, fully autonomous ID. Buzz AD vehicles in US markets, starting in Los Angeles. Testing will begin this year, with commercial launch expected in 2026, using human operators initially for safety. Volkswagen’s MOIA brand will provide the autonomous driving solution. Both companies are excited about the future of autonomous mobility, with Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi expressing anticipation for the launch in Los Angeles. Volkswagen has been testing ID Buzz vans in Austin, Texas, and the partnership aims to revolutionize transportation.
