Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway filed its 13F for the first quarter of 2025, revealing stocks bought and sold. Notably, Buffett added to existing positions like Constellation Brands and Domino’s Pizza, but didn’t make any new investments during the downturn. Berkshire doubled stakes in Pool Corp and Constellation Brands. Apple remains its largest holding. During the first quarter, Buffett scaled back positions in Bank of America, Capital One Financial, and sold Citigroup entirely. The company also trimmed positions in Charter Communications, Liberty Media Corp, and T-Mobile. Buffett’s team continued to reduce exposure to the US financial-services industry. Berkshire initiated positions in Ally Financial, Amazon.com, Constellation Brands, Kraft Heinz, and Occidental Petroleum. Ally Financial focuses on auto loans and has improved funding structure. Amazon has a wide economic moat and is trading below fair value. Constellation Brands has strong Mexican beer brands but expects slower growth. Kraft Heinz is revamping its strategy for profitable growth. Occidental Petroleum is a large oil and gas producer without an economic moat but is on track to earn its cost of capital. Berkshire owns significant stakes in these undervalued stocks.
