Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD) reported a first quarter profit of $709 million, or $0.44 per share, beating Street estimates. Adjusted earnings were $1.57 billion or $0.96 per share, exceeding analysts’ expectations of $0.93 per share. Revenue for the period increased by 35.9% to $7.438 billion from last year. Full year EPS guidance is $7.1 – $7.7 billion.
