Defence technology company Anduril Industries has acquired Klas, a tactical communications services provider, in a deal with undisclosed financial terms. The acquisition will integrate Klas’ rugged hardware into Anduril’s autonomous systems, enhancing solutions for challenging environments. Klas will continue operations in Ireland and the US, expanding manufacturing to meet demand.

Anduril’s acquisition of Klas establishes its first office in Dublin, expanding its international presence in Europe, the UK, Australia, Japan, and Taiwan. The acquisition aims to provide faster, more resilient, and seamlessly integrated solutions for defence operations. By combining Anduril’s software platform with Klas’ infrastructure, the company plans to deliver lightweight, mission-tailored systems.

In a strategic partnership with OpenAI, Anduril aims to strengthen AI capabilities for US national security. The collaboration focuses on embedding OpenAI’s advanced AI technology into Anduril’s defence platforms and operating system, with a focus on improving performance against unmanned aircraft systems. The acquisition of Klas is part of Anduril’s efforts to enhance its technology offerings for defence operations.
