Electric vehicle maker Bollinger Motors is facing financial trouble and has been placed in court-ordered receivership. The company, acquired by Mullen Automotive, has struggled to pay employees and cover debts, including a $10 million loan from founder Robert Bollinger. Sales of its B4 Chassis Cab truck have been slow, with production halted after missing payments to partner Roush Industries. Bollinger’s plight mirrors other EV companies’ struggles, like Nikola and Canoo filing for bankruptcy. Fisker also shut down last year.
