Global insurer AXA is moving its China business to Hong Kong to simplify operations. AXA Hong Kong and Macau will re-domicile AXA China Region Insurance Company from Bermuda. The move aligns with Hong Kong’s re-domiciliation regime. Policyholders and partners will not be affected, and the company will adopt a new name. CEO Sally Wan sees strategic advantages in the move to Hong Kong.
