Boeing’s CEO Kelly Ortberg announced that airplane deliveries to China will resume next month after being paused due to trade war tariffs. Ortberg also stated that Boeing plans to increase production of its 737 Max jet pending FAA approval, aiming to produce 42 jets a month by midyear. The company’s Max 7 and Max 10 variants are set to be certified by the end of the year. United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby praised Boeing’s improved performance under Ortberg’s leadership, noting supply chain challenges limiting new plane deliveries.
