The French stock market surged after U.S. President Trump postponed 50% tariffs on EU imports to July 9 following a call from EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. The CAC 40 index rose 1.19% with ArcelorMittal up over 4% and several other companies gaining 1-3.1%. BNP Paribas and Pernod Ricard rose nearly 2%, while companies like Capgemini, Edenred, and Accor saw gains of 1-1.8%. The EU and U.S. aim to swiftly advance trade talks to secure a good deal by the new deadline.
