Central Asia Metals (CAML) is set to acquire New World Resources (NWR) for A$185m, offering a premium of 78.6% to 150% over various benchmarks. CAML will gain full ownership of the Antler project in Arizona, estimated to produce 30,000 tonnes of payable copper equivalent annually over 12 years. The transaction awaits regulatory approvals and shareholder consent, with planned implementation in September 2025. NWR’s Board recommends the acquisition, favoring it over other proposals for developing the Antler copper project independently. NWR received a US federal permit in February 2025 for the Antler project, further supporting the transaction. CAML plans to fund the acquisition through existing cash reserves and a new credit facility, with no financing or due diligence conditions attached.
