Canadian Market Up Marginally At Noon In Cautious Trade

The Canadian market started slightly up but dipped into negative territory before rebounding slightly. Concerns over U.S. treasury yields and uncertainty about tariffs are causing caution among investors. The S&P/TSX Composite Index was up 0.08% at 25,860.22 by midday. Industrial producer prices in Canada fell by 0.8% in April, while the Raw Materials Price Index dropped by 3%. The CFIB Business Barometer rose to 40.0 in May. Stocks like Lightspeed Commerce and Brookfield Renewable Energy are down, while MDA Space and Celestica Inc. are up. Toronto-Dominion Bank and Novagold are also posting gains.
