Canary Capital Group updates its S-1 filing with the SEC to name Marinade Select as the exclusive staking provider for its Solana ETF, now known as Canary Marinade Solana ETF. Staking allows crypto investors to earn rewards on their investments through blockchain networks.
Solana, the sixth-largest crypto asset with a market cap of around $90 billion, is a blockchain platform with SOL as its native token. Firms are eager to launch spot SOL ETFs in the U.S. market, with Fidelity Investments planning to debut an ETF tracking SOL’s price.
The first spot Solana ETF in North America recently launched in Canada. Canary’s proposed fund aims to provide investors exposure to SOL while participating in staking rewards through Solana’s proof-of-stake mechanism. Marinade Finance is set to be the exclusive staking provider for at least two years.
