Cyber insurance provider CFC has launched a new simplified intellectual property (IP) insurance policy, catering to businesses of all sizes, from startups to those with turnovers up to £500m ($657.46m). This policy covers defence and pursuit of infringement claims, contractual indemnities, loss of IP rights, loss of profits, and more. It includes coverage for IP title pursuit, employee infringement of trade secrets, proprietary data, or confidential information, and indemnity for expenses incurred in mitigating a claim. Additionally, it offers reputation and brand protection in case of an IP dispute. CFC has made it easier for brokers to obtain an online indication of interest by simplifying the process to only require the client’s company name, website URL, and revenue. In February, CFC also introduced a new service to automate quoting for cyber insurance products, enabling UK brokers to generate bulk quotes for their portfolio.
