Columbia Threadneedle Investments plans to launch four equity UCITS ETFs in Europe, awaiting regulatory approval. These ETFs will replicate the Beta Advantage Research Enhanced US Equity index, combining quality, value, and catalyst factors. Managed by Senior Portfolio Manager Chris Lo, the suite aims to outperform the index in a benchmark-aware, rules-based approach.

The firm aims to leverage its U.S. success in active ETFs to provide value for European clients. With $5.5 billion in U.S.-domiciled ETF assets, Columbia Threadneedle Investments plans to expand its European range to include active fixed-income ETFs next year. The move capitalizes on the growing adoption of active ETFs as efficient portfolio implementation tools.

Richard Vincent, head of product EMEA, sees the expansion into Europe as a natural progression for Columbia Threadneedle Investments, tapping into years of ETF expertise. EMEA head of distribution and marketing Michaela Collet Jackson highlights the efficiency and value provided by active ETFs for clients. The firm’s successful U.S. track record presents a significant growth opportunity in the European market.
