DHL eCommerce to merge with UK courier Evri

Global logistics giant DHL invests in UK-based Evri, merging e-commerce division. Jointly, they will deliver over 1 billion parcels and letters annually. Evri’s clients include Marks & Spencer, John Lewis, and Etsy. Evri, previously Hermes, was acquired by Apollo in 2020, rebranded in 2022, and focuses on technology and infrastructure upgrades.
With over 8,000 employees, Evri joins forces with DHL to create a network of 30,000 couriers. Evri Premium will offer premium van delivery for high-value, time-sensitive parcels. DHL eCommerce division specializes in tailored parcel delivery, returns, and international shipping for online businesses.
DHL’s investment in Evri expands international reach, utilizing DHL eCommerce’s expertise in cross-border shipping and global network. The merger aims to provide faster transit times for Evri shipments by leveraging DHL’s extensive network in Europe, the United States, and select Asian markets.
