E Ink and MediaTek donate 58 Amazon Kindle Kids eReaders to Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Louisiana as part of the eRead for the Future program. These eReaders feature E Ink ePaper displays and MediaTek chipset technology to support a Summer Reading program. A study by Harvard School of Public Health found that E Ink’s ePaper screens are healthier for eyes than LCD screens, reducing the negative effects of blue light exposure. This collaboration aims to inspire a love for reading in children, with devices bundled with a 6-month Amazon Kids+ subscription for unlimited access to children’s books. Last year, E Ink donated 1,024 eReaders to benefit over 15,000 students across 40 schools, saving 777 metric tons of carbon emissions.
