Edelman buys Cahill Wealth Management

Edelman Financial Engines (EFE) has acquired Cahill Wealth Management, managing $426m for 125 clients in Michigan. The move aims to expand EFE’s presence in the US and enhance its workplace business, particularly in the life sciences sector. Cahill Wealth Management will operate under the EFE brand post-acquisition.
Cahill Wealth Management founder Ryan Cahill cited EFE’s leadership, shared values, and advanced resources as reasons for the partnership. EFE CEO Jay Shah expressed satisfaction with the addition, emphasizing the importance of adapting to changing investor needs by adding talented RIAs to the team. EFE manages over $293bn for 1.3 million clients nationwide.
In 2021, Warburg Pincus acquired a minority stake in EFE, with managing director Michael Martin joining the board of directors. The acquisition of Cahill Wealth Management aligns with EFE’s vision of providing enhanced value and resources to clients. EFE continues to seek partnerships that support its mission.
