Equinor ASA (NYSE: EQNR) and Polenergia have agreed to develop two offshore wind farms in the Baltic Sea near the Polish coast. The projects, with a total generation capacity of 1440 MW, are estimated to cost $7.2 billion and are set to start generating power in 2027. Investors like Equinor ASA, Orsted, Orlen, and PGE are also building 6 GW of offshore wind capacity in Poland. Equinor ASA plans to reduce investments in renewables after 2027 to boost returns for shareholders.
