European Shares Seen Mostly Higher At Open

European stocks are expected to open higher on Monday as U.S. President Trump delays tariffs on EU goods. Talks between Trump and European Commission President von der Leyen are set to continue until July 9. In Asia, markets were mixed with Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index down nearly 1 percent. The dollar index decreased and oil prices rose slightly while gold dipped below $1,350 per ounce. U.S. stocks closed lower on Friday as Trump threatened tariffs on the EU and Apple. The tech-heavy Nasdaq dropped 1 percent, the S&P 500 fell 0.7 percent, and the Dow decreased by 0.6 percent. European stocks also declined due to trade tensions.
