Firefly Neuroscience has acquired Evoke Neuroscience, enhancing its brain health assessment technologies. The acquisition includes a database of 180,000 EEG/ERP assessments, doubling Firefly’s brain scans and tripling its patent portfolio to 27 patents. The $6m transaction involves cash and common stock, with potential earn-outs for Evoke’s investors.

Firefly aims to build the world’s first EEG/ERP-based foundation model of the human brain. BNA technology targets mental and neurological disorders, appealing to pharma companies and medical practitioners. Leveraging AI and machine learning, BNA uses data from 17,000 individuals across twelve disorders to enhance brain health outcomes.

Last year, Zeto collaborated with Firefly to distribute FDA-cleared EEG headsets. The strategic acquisition of Evoke by Firefly expands its commercial reach and capabilities in brain health assessment technologies. Firefly’s CEO, Greg Lipschitz, sees the acquisition as a significant step towards achieving the company’s goals.
