Franklin Templeton plans to convert 10 Putnam municipal bond mutual funds into ETFs, expanding its offerings following the acquisition of Putnam Investments by Franklin Resources, Inc. The transition is expected to occur between Q4 2025 and Q1 2026. Franklin Resources, Inc. serves clients globally and is committed to providing a range of ETF options for investors. The firm’s U.S. ETF platform manages over $32 billion in assets, with plans to further enhance its ETF lineup. Municipal bonds remain important in investor portfolios, offering tax-exempt income and diversification benefits. BEN stock has increased by over 10% in 2025.
