Gold prices fell to their lowest in over a month as global trade tensions eased, leading investors to shift away from safe-haven assets. Progress in trade talks boosted riskier assets, with President Trump securing deals worth over $243.5 billion with Qatar. China also suspended a trade and investment ban on several US companies as part of the tariff truce. Gold’s appeal decreased due to improved risk sentiment, with prices down 2% at $3,185.59 an ounce. Despite the drop, gold is still up over 20% this year, peaking at a record high in April. Silver, platinum, and palladium prices also declined.
