Grant Thornton has added two new partners, Jordi Bachs and Alexandre Casado, to its team in Catalonia. Bachs brings expertise in corporate finance, while Casado specializes in tax consulting. The move aims to enhance financial advisory and tax practices in the region and strengthen the Barcelona office’s management team.

Bachs, with over 18 years of experience, focuses on business valuation, debt restructuring, and M&A. He previously worked at PwC and Norgestión before joining Grant Thornton in 2013. The Financial Advisory practice in Catalonia caters to middle-market and international companies, family-owned businesses, and funds.

Casado, joining Grant Thornton in 2013, specializes in national and international tax consulting, tax planning, and group restructuring. In his new role, he will guide Catalan companies through a challenging tax environment, including regional reforms and digital tax control advancements. The appointment of Jordi and Alexandre demonstrates Grant Thornton’s commitment to professional excellence and internal talent development.

The Barcelona office currently employs 200 staff across various service lines. In April 2025, Grant Thornton expanded its global platform by integrating firms from UAE, Luxembourg, and Cayman into its network. This follows an October agreement with Grant Thornton Ireland to align advisory and tax operations, enhancing its multinational platform.
