GTCR seals deal to buy into UK broker JMG Group

Private equity firm GTCR, along with investor Synova, to acquire UK insurance broker JMG Group, with substantial new equity investment. CEO Nick Houghton and existing management team to retain substantial equity ownership. Deal expected to close in Q3 2025 pending regulatory approval. Ares Management provides new financing facility.
Capital influx aims to accelerate JMG’s growth through acquisitions, talent development, and platform investment. Since 2020, JMG completed 46 acquisitions with Synova as majority shareholder.
