German rail freight company Helrom secures a €32.9m green loan from Societe Generale and DAL Deutsche Anlagen-Leasing to support growth and market development. This follows a previous €34.5m loan split equally between Deutsche Leasing Finance and Societe Generale. The new funding will help Helrom acquire 120 trailer wagons to expand transportation capacity. The company aims to achieve net-zero transportation and advance environmental, social, and governance principles. The seven-year asset-based finance facility adheres to Green Loan Principles, enabling future financing initiatives. Helrom CFO Dr. Matthias Herrmann expresses delight in securing another debt financing with partners Societe Generale and DAL. The green loan will finance Helrom’s trailer wagons for the next six trains, contributing to CO2-neutral freight transport.
