The Thai stock market rebounded on Thursday, with the Stock Exchange of Thailand closing just below the 1,165-point mark. Gains in food, consumer, resource, and technology stocks offset weakness in other sectors. The index rose 0.28 percent to finish at 1,164.01, with 266 gainers and 183 decliners. On Wall Street, major averages opened higher, with the Dow climbing 0.28 percent, the NASDAQ adding 0.39 percent, and the S&P 500 rising 0.40 percent. Crude oil futures fell amid concerns over OPEC’s potential production hikes. Thailand will release April data for industrial production, current account, imports, exports, and trade balance.
