InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) is on track to meet profit expectations after reporting 3.5% growth in U.S. room revenue for the first quarter, outpacing rivals Marriott and Hilton. IHG relies on U.S. domestic demand amidst a global trade war, with analysts expecting fiscal 2025 revenue per available room to fall slightly below consensus.
IHG’s shares have dropped 13.5% in 2025, while Hilton’s fell 2.2% and Marriott’s 8.2%. Despite this, IHG is banking on its mid-market franchise model to weather economic slowdowns. Analysts expect the company to report core earnings of $1.32 billion for fiscal 2025, up from $1.19 billion in 2024.
