In April, the Morningstar US Market Index fell 3.93%, while the Morningstar US Core Bond Index dropped 2.98%. Global stocks lost 2.36% as per the Morningstar Global Markets Index, and global bonds fell 0.57% according to the Morningstar Global Core Bond Index. Over the past year, global stocks are up 4.53%, and global bonds are up 1.80%.

Out of the 10 largest Europe-domiciled stock ETFs, the Vanguard FTSE All-World UCITS ETF VWRD was the top performer, losing 2.39%. The bottom performer was the SPDR S&P 500 UCITS ETF SPY5, which lost 4.04%. The iShares VII PLC – iShares Core S&P 500 UCITS ETF CSSPX lost 4.04%, while the iShares Core MSCI World UCITS ETF IWDA lost 2.51%. The Vanguard S&P 500 UCITS ETF VUSD also lost 4.04%, and the Invesco S&P 500 UCITS ETF SPXS fell 4.03%.

Among the 10 largest Europe-domiciled bond ETFs, the top performer was the Amundi Index Solutions – Amundi EUR Corporate Bond ESG CC4, gaining 2.71%. The iShares $ Treasury Bond 0-1yr UCITS ETF IB01 lost 3.02%, the iShares Core € Corp Bond UCITS ETF IEAC rose 2.70%, the iShares $ Treasury Bond 1-3yr UCITS ETF IBTS fell 2.58%, and the iShares Core Global Aggregate Bond UCITS ETF AGGG dropped 0.53%. The iShares $ Corp Bond UCITS ETF LQDE fell 3.60%.

Among the 10 largest Europe-domiciled active ETFs, the JPMorgan ETFs (Ireland) ICAV – EUR Ultra-Short Income Active UCITS ETF JEST was the top performer, gaining 1.95%. The JPMorgan ETFs (Ireland) ICAV – US Research Enhanced Index Equity Active UCITS ETF JREU was the bottom performer, losing 4.27%. The JPMorgan ETFs (Ireland) ICAV – Global Research Enhanced Index Equity Active UCITS ETF JREG lost 2.76%, the JPMorgan ETFs (Ireland) ICAV – Europe Research Enhanced Index Equity Active UCITS ETF JREE gained 0.86%, the Fidelity Emerging Markets Equity Research Enhanced UCITS ETF FEMR lost 1.89%, and the PIMCO ETFs PLC – US Dollar Short Maturity UCITS ETF MINT fell 3.13%.
