HP Inc. lowered its annual profit forecast due to an expected slowdown in PC market growth amidst global economic volatility, causing shares to drop by 14%. U.S. tariffs and inflation are projected to dampen demand for personal computers in 2025. The company aims to offset costs by the fourth quarter, with adjusted profit expected between $3.00 and $3.30 per share, down from previous estimates. CEO Enrique Lores mentioned increased production in various countries to minimize tariff impacts. Revenue for the second quarter was $13.22 billion, slightly exceeding analyst estimates, with adjusted earnings per share at 71 cents, lower than expected. Sales in the Personal Systems segment increased by 7%, while the Printing unit saw a 4% decline. HP forecasted third-quarter adjusted profit per share between 68 cents and 80 cents, below estimates.
