Switzerland’s IDAK Food Group acquired Italian pizza maker Sorrento Sapori e Tradizioni. Sorrento Sapori, based in Eboli, manufactures frozen pizza snacks and supplies national and international clients. The acquisition aims to expand IDAK’s pizza product portfolio and leverage Sorrento Sapori’s growth potential. IDAK CEO Christof Lehmann sees the acquisition as a strategic fit, while Sorrento Sapori’s MD Roberto Savarese values their shared values in quality and customer orientation. IDAK also owns other food businesses, including a Swiss potato-snacks business and a confectionery and baked goods maker.

In February, Römer’s Hausbäckerei acquired fellow Swiss bakery business Kern & Sammet. IDAK was acquired by TowerBrook Capital Partners in July. In 2024, IDAK employed over 1,200 people and had sales exceeding CHF260m ($315m). Sorrento Sapori, founded in 2001, achieved €33m ($37m) in sales in 2024. The acquisition was announced by Just Food.
