The Indonesia stock market ended an eight-day winning streak, with the Jakarta Composite Index falling 1.42% to 6,827.75. Global markets are upbeat on easing trade concerns. President Trump announced a trade agreement with the U.K., boosting Wall Street. First-time U.S. unemployment claims saw a modest decline, while labor productivity dipped in Q1 2025. Crude oil futures surged 3.2% to $59.91 a barrel on news of the trade deal. Major U.S. indexes closed higher, with the Dow up 0.62%, NASDAQ up 1.07%, and S&P 500 up 0.58%. Financial, telecoms, and resource stocks led the decline in the JCI on Thursday.
