TierPoint, a data center company managed by Argo, raised $1.8 billion in financing for enterprise and high-density services, essential for AI and GPU-accelerated workloads. The company completed a new $500 million securitization, showcasing investor confidence in TierPoint’s business model and strong cash flow generation.
Ice Energy, managed by Argo, offers thermal energy storage solutions to help utilities manage electricity load demand. Ice Bear products store energy by freezing and storing ice during off-peak hours, reducing overall utility costs for customers and smoothing out net load to match generation and demand.
Customers using Ice Bear can save 20 to 30% on their utility bills by shifting electricity consumption to off-peak times. Ice Bear has no environmental impact, as it freezes and unfreezes the same volume of water without requiring additional resources, making it a sustainable energy solution.
Argo’s hydroelectric generation investment includes a partnership with Brookfield Asset Management for the Smoky Mountain hydro facilities, benefiting from a 10-year Power Purchase Agreement with the Tennessee Valley Authority. Infrastructure investments are crucial, with global demand for new infrastructure investment projected to reach $68 trillion by 2040.
