Verizon reports solid Q1 results including revenue and subscriber growth, with a strong dividend

Verizon Communications (NYSE: VZ) reported solid first-quarter 2025 financial results, with total operating revenues of $33.485 billion, a 1.5% increase year-over-year. The company’s core service revenues rose by 1.7% to $28.087 billion, while net income increased by 6.0% to $4.879 billion, exceeding analyst estimates at $1.19 diluted EPS.

Verizon is expanding its broadband services, adding 308,000 Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) subscribers in Q1 2025. The company aims to reach 8 to 9 million FWA subscribers by 2028. With 45,000 net Fios Internet subscribers and a total of 339,000 broadband net additions, Verizon’s growth in the broadband space remains strong.
